1. Search for places
Use the search field in the top of the map view to search for places. You can enter addresses, names of cities or places like restaurants or camp grounds.
The search will start suggesting results as soon as you start typing. You can select a result directly from the list by tapping on it.
2. Add places to your route
After you selected a place from the search results you can add it to your route by tapping the green 'Add stop' button.
3. Search in a map area
In the top of the search results list you will see a button with a search icon. This button allows you to search for something in the current map area. This can be useful if you want to search for a type of place like a restaurant or a camp ground in a certain area on the map.
The results will be presented as green markers in the map. You can tap on a marker to select it.
4. Rearrange and edit your route
By tapping the list button in the top right corner of the map you can open the list view of your route. Here you can rearrange or delete stops from your route.
5. See driving times and distances
In the list view you can see the overall distance and approximate driving time for your route and for each leg of your trip.
6. Navigate to a stop
You can select stops in your route by tapping on them in the list view or in the map view. The place details will then show up in the map view and you can select 'Navigate' to start navigating to this place with Google Maps or Waze.
7. Manage multiple routes
You can create and manage multiple routes in Roadie. To Manage your routes tap on 'My Routes' in the list view. In the 'My Routes' view you can create new routes or edit and delete your existing routes. To select any of your routes from this list just tap on it.
8. Collect starred places
When you plan trips it can be useful to store interesting places without adding them to your route right away. This is what Starred Places are for in Roadie. To save a place in your Starred Places just tap 'Star' in the place detail view on the map. It will be added to your list of Starred Places which you can view by tapping the star button in the top right corner. Starred places appear as star icons on your map, too.
9. Group your routes into sections
You can group your route into sections. For example, you can divide your route into days or travel segments. Tap 'Add route section' in the list view of your route. Then give your section a name and tap 'Save'. The section will be appended to the end of your trip. You can drag it up to include some of your route stops in it.
